Helen Kenyon, 81, of
Hope Valley, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, surrounded by her niece, JoAnn Smith, and her close friend, Rhonda Andrews-Lombardo, after a brief illness.
Helen lived a life defined by kindness, quiet strength, and devotion to those she held dear. She will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the steady presence she brought to her family and friends. Through a simple act of kindness, a shared meal, or a comforting word, Helen made those around her feel valued and loved.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured time spent with family, especially during holidays, gatherings, and everyday moments that became lasting memories. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
Helen is survived by her loving family and friends, who will carry her memory forward with gratitude and affection. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George.
Visitation will be held at S.R. Avery Funeral Home, 3A Bank Street,
Hope Valley, RI, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Helen's home.
Burial services will be private.
The family asks that Helen be remembered through acts of kindness shared with others; in keeping with the way she lived her life.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
