Sharon Leigh Simmonds, age 78 of Chardon and formerly of Willoughby, passed away February 24, 2026. She was born December 12, 1947, in
Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Rheta (Meyer) Simmonds.
Sharon was a self-employed Licensed Cosmetologist. She also worked for Lawyers Title in Chardon and as a Photo Technician at Walmart for 18 years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and expressing her artistic talents through painting, drawing and crafting.
She is survived by her sons Robert "Bob" (Jennifer) Gardner and Ron (Anna) Gardner. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Derrick (Mackenzie), Jake (Andrea), Jonathan, Rachael, Alyssa, Joe (Raquel) and great grandchildren Reagan and August as well as sisters Martha (Gordon) Brom and Sandra McCallion. Sharon was preceded in death by her sister Cheryl Leibhardt.
She loved her family with everything she had. She cared so deeply and just wanted to be with all of her family all of the time. We were her life. She loved her flower gardens, and she was always out in the garden when she could be. She also loved to cook. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue,
Painesville, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at Western Reserve Memorial Garden, 11521 Chillicothe Rd.,
Chesterland, Ohio following the visitation.
