Robert PETTIGREW Obituary

PETTIGREW, Robert S. Jr. Of Wellesley Hills, December 8, 2025, beloved husband of Linda B. Pettigrew of Wellesley Hills, MA. Loving father of Ryan and Vanessa of Wellesley Hills, and Gregory and his wife, Victoria of Berlin, MA. Caring brother of Janice Potts of Simsbury, CT. Also survived by nephews, Spencer, Tyler and Trevor Potts; and many friends.

Robert was the son of Robert and Ruth Pettigrew of West Hartford, CT.

All family members and friends may enjoy a Celebration of Robert's Life on March 1, 2026, at the Wellesley Italo-American Educational Club, 75 Pleasant Street.

There are no scheduled Calling Hours.

After serving in the Army until 1964, at Fort Dix, NJ, he attended Lehigh University in PA, and the University of Hartford, where he studied Business Management.

After leaving employment at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Company in CT, he joined his father as a manufacturer's sales representative at the Pettigrew Company, with offices in the West Hartford area and West Newton, MA. He was a member of the National Electronic Representatives Association (ERA). In his later retirement years, he enjoyed working in customer service at Home Depot in Watertown, MA.

Besides the beach, Bob enjoyed boating and water skiing, cars, and flying airplanes. He especially enjoyed snow skiing.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to one of Bob's favorite charities: the local Wellesley Fire and Police Departments, Paralyzed Veterans of America, 1875 Eye Street NW, Suite 1100, Washington, D.C. 20006, Veterans Memorial Park, 55 Academy Place, New Orleans, LA 70130 or plant a tree in his memory.
