Brenda Perkins Obituary

Brenda J. Perkins, age 67, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1958, to the late Herman and Barbara Hinzer in Bakersfield, California. Brenda attended college in California before beginning a rewarding career as a respiratory therapist, working for several years along the East Coast. She loved music and enjoyed attending concerts of all kinds-from Elton John to her husband's many performances with his bands over the years.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she was always ready for an adventure. As a young family, winters were spent skiing in New Hampshire, and summers brought fishing trips along the coast with her husband and son. In later years, she and the love of her life, the late Rudolph Perkins III, enjoyed a peaceful life together in Estill, South Carolina. Brenda cherished her days of thrifting, visiting yard sales, and crafting with her step-daughter, Amy.
Following her husband's passing in February 2025, Brenda joined her son and his family in Statesboro, Georgia. She spent her days reading, playing card games with her grandson Quin, and sharing snacks with her grandson Henry.
Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Rudolph Perkins IV (Holly); her step-daughter, Amy Hunt (Jeff); four beloved grandsons, Bo, Will, Quin, and Henry; her step-mother, Debra Hinzer; and two brothers, Mike Hinzer (Katie) and Mark Hinzer.
A private memorial service will be held.
