Marian M. Augustine, 97, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away March 26, 2025, at Prairie Gate Senior Living Community. Marian was born September 12, 1927, in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Henry C. and Orva (Mitchell) Bjerrum. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945. Marian worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 45 years retiring in 1989. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Augustine in 2009, son, Max M. Nelson in 1989; sister, Vivian Bjerrum and 3 brothers, Allen "Bud", Robert, and Don Bjerrum. Marian is survived by her daughter, Linda Nelson; granddaughter, Jennifer Hansen both of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 3 great-grandchildren, Reese (Amara) Hansen of Indianola, Iowa, Diana McCarthy of Richmond, Virginia, Jaylee Mead of Council Bluffs, Iowa, 2 great-great grandchildren, Freya Hansen and Griffin Hansen. Honoring Marian's wishes there will be no visitation or service. In honor of Marian, please give your loved one a hug. Marian will be laid to rest in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska
