John A Tangherlini Jr. of Weymouth passed away peacefully on Sunday October 13, 2024, at the age of 62. John was born in Quincy to Anna (Quintiliani) Tangherlini and the late John Tangherlini. Raised and educated in Weymouth. He was a graduate of Weymouth North High School, class of 1980. John worked as a mason for Local 3 for several years and worked for Allied Auto Parts.
John was an avid sports fan. He loved all sports, especially the Patriots. He also loved his family and was devoted to all of them, including his nieces and nephews, and great niece and great nephews.
Beloved husband for twenty-four years to Ann (Brown) Tangherlini. Brother of Jayne M McKenna of Weymouth, Robert P. Tangherlini and his wife Kathy of Cohasset, and Mark D. Tangherlini of Weymouth. John is survived by his nieces and nephews, many cousins and great niece and great nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass in memory of John at 10:30AM on Thursday October 24, 2024, in the St. Jerome’s Church, N. Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis TN 38105.
