Marilyn Dittrich Obituary

Marilyn Frances Dittrich UPPER Marilyn Frances Dittrich died at home in Conroe, Texas on February 25, 2026. Marilyn was born to Hermasella and August Dittrich on November 29, 1953 in Angleton, TX, where she grew up before her family moved to Weimar, TX. She became a RN in 1976 and spent much of her career at UTMB and UTMB-TDCJ in Galveston, TX. Marilyn eventually moved back to Weimar where she worked as DON at Parkview Manor before retiring. She was maybe most famous for her unique and wonderful sense of humor, which was a combination of witty and sarcastic. Marilyn had a deeply generous soul and was a wonderfully supportive friend, sister, and mother who will be deeply missed.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Audrey Elizabeth Ynigez-Gutierrez, and son-in-law, Mario Gutierrez, of Williamsburg, Virginia; and many dear friends and extended family. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Monday March 9 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Weimar, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the UTMB School of Nursing SON Scholarship Fund.
