Elizabeth Barron Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Barron
05/09/1957 - 02/06/2026
Elizabeth Ann Barron

Elizabeth Ann Barron, lovingly known as Liz, was born on May 9, 1957, and passed away on February 6, 2026 in El Paso, TX. She lived a life filled with dedication, laughter, and deep love for her family, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Liz grew up in Robert Lee, Texas, where she graduated from Robert Lee High School. She continued her education at Cisco Junior College and later Texas Tech University, where she earned her bachelor's degree-an accomplishment she worked hard for and was deeply proud of.

Liz found her true calling in healthcare, a profession she was passionate about. She worked as a medical technologist, serving patients with care and commitment in hospitals in the Dallas and Midland areas. During her many years at Midland Memorial Hospital, Liz was known for her professionalism, reliability, and the pride she took in her work.

While living in Midland, Liz met the love of her life, Mando. They were married on March 19, 1983, and shared 42 years of marriage, building a life grounded in love, partnership, and devotion to family.

Liz was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to her beloved Dallas teams-the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Dallas Stars. If there was a game on television, Liz was watching. She especially loved March Madness and enjoyed the tradition of picking teams with her sisters and nephews to follow throughout the tournament, complete with plenty of good-natured trash talking.

One of Liz's favorite places was the mountains of Colorado, particularly Big Meadows, where she spent treasured time with her family. She and her two sisters shared many years of traveling with their parents, and after Liz and Mando were married, the two got their own camper and continued the family tradition of travel and togetherness.

Above all, Liz's heart belonged to her family. She adored her nephews Weston, Tyler, and Jake. When the boys were young, she loved getting down on the floor with them-wrestling, playing ball, and laughing right along with them. As they grew into young men, she could not have been more proud of their accomplishments. There was truly no aunt more proud of her boys.

Liz will be remembered for her sweet laugh and joyful giggles that could light up a room, her strong will, and her unmistakable personality. She loved deeply, laughed often, and gave her whole heart to the people she cherished. Though our hearts are heavy in her absence, we are forever grateful for the memories she gave us and the love she leaves behind. Liz will remain with us always, carried in our stories, our laughter, and our hearts.

Survivors include her loving husband, Armando Barron Jr of El Paso; her step-son, Armando Barron III; her sisters, Stella Wilber and husband Johnny of Greenwood, and Martha Benedict and husband Scott of Stanton; her beloved nephews, Dawson Wilber, Colton Wilber, Weston Wilber, Tyler Benedict, and Jake Benedict; her grandchildren, Miguel Armando Barron, Destiny JH Barron, Anthony Lorenzo Barron, Autumn Sophia Barron, and Eric Ellias Barron; and her great-grandchildren, Aspen Everest Duckett and Adeline Maria Barron.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Emma Lee Bickley.

My deepest condolences to all
of Liz´s family. We went to Med Tech school together at Midland Memorial and Margaret Kepple was the head instructor. I always admired Liz and considered her a good friend even though we lost touch over the years. Godspeed my friend.
