Ms. Annie Beatrice Marsh, age 78, of Siler City, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the Siler City Center in Siler City, NC.

The Obituary

Annie B. Marsh, daughter of the late Obie and Beatrice Marsh, was born on January 12, 1948, in Chatham County, NC. She worked at Townsend Chicken Plant for over 40 years. She departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Genesis Siler City Center in Siler City.

Annie was a native of Chatham County, where she was educated in Chatham County Schools. She was a member of Centennial AME Zion Church. No matter what she went through, she never lost her faith in God.

Annie had a heart for children, even though she never had any of her own she raised many of her nieces, nephews, cousins & community children. Annie loved doing word searches, cooking, coloring, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her adopted grandchildren. She loved her soap operas - no matter where she was, at 12:30 p.m. the TV had to be turned to CBS. She was well known for opening her home to anyone who needed love, warmth, or food. She was the peacekeeper of the family and couldn't stand fussing or arguing around her. That even meant disciplining your children around her.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Obie and Beatrice Marsh; two sisters, Mary Alice Goldston and Mary Delois Foxx; and two brothers-in-law, Rev. Willard Neal Jr. and Julian Farrar.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her sister Stella Tysor, who lived with and cared for Annie; Josephine Neal and Crissy Farrar of Siler City, NC; brothers Obie Marsh Jr. of Bear Creek, NC, Leroy Marsh of Siler City, NC, and William E. Marsh (Nancy) of Polkton, NC; one brother-in-law, Bobby Tysor; a special nephew, Kayshaun; four honorary grandchildren, Isaiah, Ezra, Gabriel, and Naomi, who were the light of her life; and her special roommate and friend, Tish Jones. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
