LEBANON, Tenn. - Bobby Gene Duncan, 94, of Lebanon, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2026.
His Celebration of Life will be conducted by Will McReynolds, Jonas Taylor, nephew, Terry Duncan; and great nephew Jeff Duncan, noon Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Hope Baptist Church (208 Granville Drive), Lebanon. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-noon prior to the service.
Bobby Gene Duncan was born in West Paducah, Kentucky, to Audrey Davis Fortson Duncan and Dewey Duncan. He was a 1949 graduate of Heath High School, attended Paducah Junior College, Murray State University, and the University of Kentucky. He became a eneral contractor early in his life, then spent 38 years as a vocational education instructor for the State of Kentucky at Paducah Tilghman Vocational School. He also taught the Carpenter's Union Apprenticeship Program for the Western Kentucky Carpenter's Local for 25 years. Bob was a charter member of the Bible Baptist Church/Heartland Church in Paducah, Kentucky, and at the Hope Baptist Church in Lebanon. He enjoyed volunteering for his church, teaching adult bible classes and continued to enjoy his craftsmanship with woodworking and cabinet building for many years.
Mr. Duncan is survived by his daughter Lita Duncan Burnett (Cordell), his loving wife of 14 wonderful years, Mary Frances Haworth Duncan, nephews Mike Duncan, Terry Duncan of Paducah, Kentucky; loving nieces Dilana Moss Dunn (Lonnie) of Decatur, Illinois, Teresa Moss-Groves of Calvert City, Kentucky, numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, step-daughters Patricia Delaney and Debbie Derryberry of Nashville, numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, one step great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Lita Thompson Duncan; his parents, Audrey Fortson Duncan and Dewey Duncan; siblings, Kathleen Duncan Staley, Paul Duncan, and Charles Duncan all of Paducah, Kentucky.
