Dean Hegel Sr., 66, passed away on January 19, 2026, in Spokane, Washington, leaving behind a life defined by love, family, and the passions that brought him joy.

A longtime resident of Ford, Washington, Dean built a life grounded in hard work and the simple, meaningful things he cherished most. He was known for his lifelong love of racing and building cars-skills he honed with pride and shared with his boys. Countless hours spent together in the garage became treasured memories and a legacy that will continue to live on through his children and grandchildren.

When he wasn't under the hood of a car, Dean could often be found cheering on his favorite WWE wrestlers. His enthusiasm for WrestleMania was unmatched, and the excitement he brought to every match-and every living room-became part of the stories his family will forever hold close.

Dean is survived by his children: Todd, Deaner, Michael, Steven, and LindaSue, along with many other beloved children who held a special place in his heart. He was a proud grandfather to Felisha, Alex, Tanner, Keli, Wesley, Allie, Caitlin, Michael Jr., Isaiah, Mae Mae, Aedan, Zara, Aubrie, Jordan, Alyaha, Aspen, and McCoy, as well as many additional grandchildren whom he loved deeply and unconditionally

Dean will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his mechanical talent, his vibrant love for the things that excited him, and the warmth and brightness he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him.

His memory will continue to rev in the hearts of those he loved, steady and strong-just like him.
