Donna Dawn Vitanza ( Browning) May 24, 1950 – February 9, 2025
Donna Dawn Vitanza, lovingly known as "Nini" to her four cherished granddaughters, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills, Florida, with her devoted husband, Salvatore, and daughters, Audriana and Gabrielle, by her side.
Born on May 24, 1950, Donna lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She relocated to Florida to be close to her first grandbaby, and from that moment on, her granddaughters-Sophia (16), Evelyn (13), Gianna (13), and Gillian (11)-became the center of her world. Whether rocking them to sleep, calming their worries, or simply showering them with love, Nini was their safe place, their comfort, and their greatest cheerleader.
Donna shared an incredible life with her husband, Salvatore. Though their love story took eight years to reach the altar, once they said "I do" in 1976, they were in it for the long haul. Through life's ups and downs, their bond remained strong, always standing by one another no matter what. She is survived by Salvatore, their two daughters, Audry and Gabby, and the sons-in-law she welcomed into the family, Tony and Guy. Her lifelong best friend, Connie, was more like a sister. Their friendship spanned decades, filled with mischief, adventures, and unconditional love. There was never a day they didn't talk, fight like family, or fiercely have each other's backs.
Donna was also deeply loved by her beloved Frenchie, Bruno, and his best friend, Rudy. These two loyal companions never left her side, cuddling next to Nini and protecting her always.
Donna was a force-a woman who lived life on her own terms. She was bold, feisty, and full of fire, always up for a good time and ready to take charge. She loved to laugh, dance, and push the limits, never letting life pass her by.
True to her wishes, Donna didn't want tears or a traditional funeral. Instead, she wanted a party-a celebration of her life, filled with music, dancing, and a good CC with 7 and a lemon in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gulfside Hospice of Zephyrhills, whose care and compassion provided immeasurable comfort in her final days.
Donna was one of a kind-a boss, a protector, a woman who loved hard and lived even harder. She will be deeply missed but forever celebrated in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Donna, please visit our Tree Store.
