He grew up in Naturita, Colorado, where he spent his childhood surrounded by family and friends and later graduated from Nucla High School. Dustin had a deep love for music. In his spare time, he enjoyed Dj’ing, turning up the music, and bringing energy wherever he went. Dustin had a vibrant personality and was truly the life of the party. His humor, unique style, funny outfits, and ability to make friends everywhere he went left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Above all else, Dustin loved being a father. His five-year-old, Kason Galarza, was the light of his life, and Dustin cherished every moment he spent with him. Dustin was preceded in death by his infant brother Ryan Galarza; his maternal Grandparents, Adolphus (Doc) and Nancy Moore, and his best friends Tad Sickles and Alec Taber. Dustin is survived by his loving parents, Rigoberto and Allison Galarza of Naturita, Colorado; his son, Kason Galarza; and his brothers, Brandon (Brooke) Galarza, Eric Galarza, and Mikael Galarza. He is also survived by his nieces, Kinzley Galarza and Olivia Galarza, and his nephew Grayson Galarza, all of whom he adored. Dustin will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his laughter, his music, and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him. His presence could light up a room, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though Dustin’s time here was far too short, the love, memories, and laughter he shared with family and friends will live on forever. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. A celebration of life will be held on 3/21/2026 at 4:00pm at Nucla Highschool immediately followed by a graveside service at 5:00pm at Nucla Cemetery.
