Emily Waske Obituary

With heavy hearts and great sadness, we have lost our beloved daughter, Emily Jo Waske. She was born on January 28, 1992 in Canton, a daughter of Kevin and Sarah (Davis) Waske.

Surviving are her parents, Sarah Davis Waske of Fiatt; father, Kevin (Denise) Waske of London Mills; paternal grandmother, Joan Waske, her loving siblings, Alisha Marie (Daren) Slater; Adam Max Putman; her special siblings, Heather Markley Putman, and Billy & Marina Angelo, nieces & nephews, Taylor, Triston, Serenity, Tanner, Maddy, Tycen, Alayna, Marrissa, Bently, and Bella. Also surviving are great nieces, Maleigha Rose & Oakland and great nephews Kaysen Alan & Ryker, several aunts, Uncles and cousins, her beloved crash, crazy uncle Ron, her beloved Cameren & Colten, and her loving family from Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Waske, maternal grandparents, Max & Betty Davis, and her beloved aunt & uncle, Becky & Terry Schutte.

Emily loved everyone, and had such a good heart, music was a big part of her life as she loved Kurt Cobain, Beatles, and the Misfits. She loved playing her Ukulele and had a small collection of them. She had a love for poetry that she inherited from her grandmother Joan. Emily was also a very talented artist, and loved to draw. She loved her generations of fur babies past & present, as cats were her comfort, and happiness. Emily was very proud of her time that she worked at Caterpillar and Keystone, last working at the Farmington McDonalds. She attended Spoon River Valley Schools, where she made lifelong friends, including Destiny (Pratt) Ward.

Per Emily's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, a celebration of life gathering will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the London Mills Riverside Park Pavilion.
