Eric Bozymski Obituary

Eric Alexander Bozymski, 58, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025 in Wilmington, NC. He was born on January 1, 1967, and came into the world as the prize winning first baby born in the New Year in Chapel Hill, NC. He was immediately the star of the show to his parents Mary Kay and Eugene as well as his three brothers; Mike, Mark and David. Eric is survived by his mother, brothers, and daughters, Alexandra and Emma, whom he loved very much.
Eric attended Durham Academy, Chapel Hill High and Guilford College. Eric was high energy and had a wonderful zest for life, loved a good party, and his friends and family. He was a great friend to both young and old throughout his life and never met a stranger. Eric remembered the best in all he met through the years. He was always quick with an old story or event recap, the memories of which warmed everyone's heart and brought much merriment and laughter all around!
He was an avid outdoorsman whose best life was lived outside, but his second favorite place was in a kitchen or around a campfire cooking something for all to enjoy - he was the more the merrier kind of guy! He spent many years working out west in Wyoming, Idaho and the Baja Peninsula with the NOLS organization. He was always up for an adventure and spent time working as a ski instructor and enjoyed sous chef work.
In later years, Eric relocated to Wilmington and participated in a wellness program called Launch Pad. He loved the organization, its work, and its people and ended up working and volunteering there. He was a helper, counselor and friend to countless others during his years of affiliation with the group.
Eric lived a full life and would encourage all to put on a smile, perhaps raise a glass, and dance a lively jig together.
A service to celebrate Eric's life will be held at a later date. Final arrangements are being graciously administered
by Coastal Cremations in Wilmington.
