Essie Lou Corum, 72, of Danville, Alabama passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home with her brother-in-law, Bro. Larry Corum officiating. Burial will be at Bald Knob Cemetery.

Born on March 25, 1953, to George and Louise Bibby Landman, Essie was a member of Community Baptist Church in Moulton. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports, Sunday dinners, and spending time with her best friend, Maggie.

Survivors include her children, Tim (Debra) Graul, Jeff (Tonya) Graul, Katrina (Caleb) Lewis, and Jennifer (Heath) Compton; grandchildren, Jacob (Stephanie) Graul, Justen (Laci) Graul, Meaghan (David) Wesson, Brooke (Blain) Kellett, Jaycie (Zane) Routon, Clay Routon, Kami (Kade) Turner, Dakota Stewart, Camden Whittle, Tytus Compton, Levi (Mariah) Flick, Sydney Corum, and Lillian (Jacob) Owens; great-grandchildren, Bennett Graul, Emma Graul, Ruby Jo Graul, Lucas Wesson, Sarah Beth Wesson, Tripp Kellett, Tucker Kellett, Scottie Blair Pruitt, Genavieve Corum, Annie Corum, Ollie Corum, and Eleanor Paige Turner; brothers, George (Patricia) Landman, Eugene Landman, Willie Landman, and JD Landman; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Essie was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Corum; parents, George and Louise Landman; mother-in-law, Alma Corum; brothers, Ricky Landman, Travis Landman, Chris Landman, and GW Landman; sisters, Dona Turner and Evoughn Bailey. Pallbearers will be Jacob Graul, Justen Graul, Dakota Stewart, Camden Whittle, Tytus Compton, and Levi Flick.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of the 2nd and 3rd floors at Decatur Morgan Hospital, and Doctor Lobo's office (Clearview Cancer Institute).
