Georgeanna Irene Anderson
With deep sorrow, we announce Georgeanna Irene Anderson, age 48, passed peacefully from this earth to her Heavenly home March 11, 2025 at 3:10PM. Georgeanna was a faithful servant of Christ and is a beloved child of God. Georgeanna was born April 26, 1976 in
Tallahassee, Florida to Kathy and Gary Anderson. She was loved by her siblings Kathryn Renee (husband Keith Sanders) of Valdosta, Georgia; Amanda (husband Milton Davenport) of
Tallahassee, Florida; and Gary Medlock (wife Tiffany) of Panama City, Florida. Georgeanna was preceded in death by her father, Gary Anderson; and is survived by her mother, Kathy; and stepfather, John Medlock.
Georgeanna graduated from Rickards High School in 1996 and went on to work for the State of Florida. However, her greatest achievement in life is the love she showered on her nieces, nephews, family, friends, as well as the service she gave to her church. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Katie (husband Aaron Ritzman), Kalie (husband Garrison Wood and daughters Lyla Kay and Aria Jane), Emma Sue Sanders, Kaden Sanders, Jevin Johnson (and wife Morgan), Bradlee Johnson, Charlotte Medlock, Madison Davenport, Caroline Davenport, Parker Davenport, and new baby Davenport. She adored every minute with her nieces and nephews-swimming with them, taking them to Disney World or Wild Adventures, going to the beach, and supporting their school and church events. At home, Georgeanna loved decorating for holidays, cooking family meals, hosting parties, and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgeanna also adored her many pets, especially her late dog Todd.
A devoted follower of Christ, Georgeanna accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was an active member of Indian Springs Baptist Church, where she loved to sing and assist with the children's ministries. She professed her faith publicly through baptism as a child at Morningside Baptist Church. She blessed so many with singing solos and joining in the church choir. Vacation Bible School was a special week for Georgeanna each summer and she loved everything from setting up to praying with the children.
When thinking of Georgeanna, one will think of her kindness, generosity, and love she had for others. She was always up for a good laugh, staying up late talking, and watching a good movie with family and friends. In short, Georganna was present. She wanted to spend time with those she loved.
Georgeanna is survived by her mother, stepfather, sisters, brother, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, many cousins, best friend Gerri Gail Hall, and other dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father Gary Anderson, grandparents Chalmer and Kathryn Boyd and Bud and Irene Anderson; Uncle Bill Boyd; Aunt Jackie Braswell; Uncle Darrell Anderson; Clifford "Neeny" Clayton; Aunt Christine Bowers; Aunt BobriaAnn Kirk; Aunt Julie Barbaree; Marvin Clayton; Michelle Anderson Criss; Aunt Geri Wynn; and other family and friends. One can only imagine Georgeanna being met at Heaven's gates with a large greeting party and the heavenly choir being directed by her beloved Daddy.
Services will be held at Indian Springs Baptist Church at 1:00pm (visitation) and 2:00pm (celebration of life) held under the leadership of Rev. Greg Roberts.

Georgeanna will be laid to rest at Springfield Cemetery in Jefferson County, Florida.
We find comfort in the hope of the Lord's Word: "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." - Revelation 21:4. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Georgeanna is now at rest in the arms of Jesus, and we are awaiting the day when we will be reunited with her in His presence.
