Holly Elwood Dalton, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, surrounded by his family, at his home, in Carrollton, Ohio following an extended illness. He was 80 years old.
He was born into this life on January 22, 1942, in Philippi, WV., a son to the late James and Myrtle (Kennedy) Dalton.
Holly was married to Freda (Norris) Dalton for 60 years.
Also surviving are five children; Pamela Ogles, and husband Mark of Franklin, Ky., Jeffery Dalton, and wife Sandy of Canton, Oh., Patricia Sisk and husband Joey of Dellroy, Oh., Heather Tyler, and husband William of Canton, Oh., Kayla Dalton of Canton, Oh.; fivegrandchildren, Karrisa Dalton, Brandy Ware, April Sisk, Hollie "Emily" Dalton, and Andrew Ogles; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by, two infant twin daughters, Lora Leigh, and Dora Leigh Dalton, and by four of his siblings.
Mr. Dalton was a former coal miner and was a retired laborer from the Union Laborers Local 1015 in Canton Oh. He enjoyed his retirement by reading, hunting, fishing, trapping, hunting ginseng, and spending time with his family. Holly was a Christian by faith, attending the Ford Run Church and Olive Hill Church. He was an avid fan of WVU sports and loved to watch the Cleveland Browns. Mr. Dalton will be missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi, from 9 am until 12 pm on Monday, March 14, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm., from the funeral home chapel with William "Bill", and his wife Rosie Berdine officiating, and interment will follow in the Norris Family Cemetery near, Philippi. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Dalton Family with the arrangements.
