Isabel R. Calderon, a faithful servant, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on September 21, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas, where she also took her last breath, Isabel's life was a testament to her spirited and faith-filled nature.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother; and sister.
Isabel, lovingly known as a devoted wife to Felipe Calderon, leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. She is also survived by her siblings, Emilia Salinas, Irene Puente, Eliseo Rico, Ernesto Rico, and Christine Willow.
She was a nurturing mother to Sandra C Gonzales and spouse Rojelio Gonzales, Phillip Calderon and spouse Nancy Calderon, and Patricia C Villegas and spouse Tom E Villegas. Her grandchildren Stephanie Hernandez, Roy Anthony Gonzales, Zachary Calderon, Michael Calderon, Andrea Calderon, Christopher Villegas, Victoria Villegas, Joshua Villegas, and Alexander Villegas, as well as her great-grandchildren Emma Hernandez, Jude Calderon, Phillip Calderon, Dean Elliot, and William Elliot, will forever treasure the memories and lessons she imparted.
Isabel's entrepreneurial spirit led her to become a successful business owner. Her work extended beyond her business endeavors as she raised three successful children, each embodying the values she held dear.
Isabel's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She found joy in bingo and expressed her creativity through quilting and crocheting. An avid lover of the outdoors, she cherished fishing with her family. Isabel's culinary skills were unparalleled, and she relished in cooking and baking for her loved ones. Music filled her soul, and in her later years, she learned to play the piano, further showcasing her boundless creativity. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, and she poured her heart into starting a ministry that touched many lives.
Isabel Calderon's life was a beautiful mosaic of creativity, spirit, and faith. Her memory will be honored as an embodiment of these virtues, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
