Juanita Marie Sturgill born May 12, 1939 departed this life on Tuesday July 30, 2024 at the Hazard A.R.H. being 85-years old. Juanita was born in Vicco, Kentucky the daughter of the late Leonard Sumner and the late Ethel Stallard Sumner. Other than her parents, Juanita was also preceded in death by her daughters, Opal and Linda Carol; sister, Evalee Blair; brothers, Charles Sumner, Dewey Sumner and Ricky Sumner; grandson, Brian Noplis.
Juanita Marie Sturgill leaves the following relatives to cherish her memory: sons, Keith Sturgill of Garrett, KY, Robbie Sturgill of Garrett, KY, Scott Sturgill & Lois of Georgetown, KY, Kenneth Sturgill of Happy, KY; daughter, Debra House of Bulan; brothers, Berkie Sumner & Irene of Viper, Donnie Sumner & Faye of Chavies, Randy Sumner & Sharon of Viper; sisters, Lola Stoner of OH, Kaye Matthews & David of Panama City, FL, Rena Faye Barker of Richmond, IN, Wilma Daniels & Stephen of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Jamie Deaton, Christy Widsom, Brandon Morris, Trevor Sturgill, Tanner Sturgill, Tyler Sturgill, Nicholas Sturgill, Marsha Legere, Tiffany Sturgill, Dustin Sturgill and Keith Sturgill. A host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews survive.
Visitation for Juanita Marie Sturgill will be held on Friday August 2, 2024 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. A Celebration of Life for Juanita Marie Sturgill will be conducted on Friday at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home at 4:00 P.M. with B.J. Campbell officiating.
