Judy Jager (née Pfeiffer), born May 30, 1987, in New York City, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She spent her early years in New York and New Jersey before her family settled in Fargo, which she always considered home. Fargo shaped her steady spirit, deep-rooted values, and the warmth she carried throughout her life.
As a young woman, Judy married her beloved husband, Tateo, and began building a life with him, traveling and forming lifelong friendships along the way. The couple made their home in Paris, France for nearly a decade, where they welcomed their daughter and son, Miya and Emery. Eventually settling in
White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Judy combined her love of the French language with her gift for working with children at a local French immersion school. She later pursued training in court reporting - always eager to grow and learn - but had to stop to tackle the biggest fight of her life.
Judy lived with intention and heart. She loved swimming, biking, playing flute and piano, home projects, and creative pursuits of all kinds - especially crocheting thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Even during years of illness, she remained determined and hopeful, continuing to pour her energy into the people and passions she loved most. Above all, she treasured being a wife and mother, creating a home filled with laughter, warmth, and care.
Judy will be remembered for her resilience, kindness, faithfulness, and quiet strength. Her grace in the face of hardship and her unwavering devotion to her family and community leave a lasting legacy in all who knew or encountered her. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Tateo; her children, Miya and Emery; her parents, Cindy and Juergen Pfeiffer; her siblings, Preston Pfeiffer and Aloysia Larson (husband Caleb Larson); her grandmother, Mary McGregor; her parents-in-law, Jean-Paul and Yukiko Jager; her sister-in-law, Myrane Williams (husband Jason Williams); her nephews, Nathanael and Elliot Williams; and her niece, Emy Williams.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Minnesota Family Church, 3836 Stinson Blvd. NE, Columbia Heights, with a Visitation starting at 11:30 AM. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Minneapolis.
