Laura Miner Obituary

Laura Lee Miner, 67, of Canton Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 21st 2024. Laura was born in Canton on November 7th, 1956 to the late Hoyt & Levonia (Croston) Miner. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Blaine Leslie Calhoun III, and 4 brothers Edward, Troy, Larry, and Peter Miner. She is survived by three daughters, Chante Calhoun & her husband of Grafton WV, Erica Taylor of Pittsburgh PA, and Shanice Cook & her wife of Oak Hill WV; 2 sisters, Paulette Taylor, Ruth Ann Jackson; 2 brothers Marion Miner & Micheal Miner; 4 grandchildren Jacob Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter, Taisen Taylor, and Andrew Lanham, and her beloved dog Sausage; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members & friends. Laura had a strong and fiery spirit and loved with her whole heart. She cared deeply for her children and entire family. She was someone you could go to in a time of need and feel valued, heard, and not judged. She was unapologetically true to herself, loved dearly, and will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Waltner-Simchak on June 30th from 1pm-3pm. A repast will follow immediately after.
