Lavon Osborne Pennington, age 67, of Flat Gap, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at her home.
Lavon was born March 25, 1957 in Johnson County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bert Osborne and Georgia Ann Stambaugh Osborne. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Ronald Eugene Pennington, two brothers, Eugene Pennington and Ike Osborne, and one sister, Barbara Ann Pennington.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Pennington, two daughters, Lisa (Matt) Clark and Crystal (Kevin) Frazier all of Flat Gap, Kentucky; three brothers, Lee Pennington of Richmond, Kentucky Edgar Osborne and Bert Allen Osborne all of Flat Gap, Kentucky; two sisters, Connie King and Lou Ann Curtis all of Sitka, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Brandon (Alisha) Clark, Amanda (Wesley) Jarrell, Laken Frazier (AJ Holbrook), Caitlin (Chuck) Fannin, and Taylor (Brandon) Fairchild; nine great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Aireyonna, Carson, Cameron, Maddox, Ronald, Kaylin, Bryston, and Allanah; and three fur babies, Autumn, Mia, and Sassy.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Tim Salyer officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2025, 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 and 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to cover expenses.
