M.G Davis Obituary
He was born into this life on September 4, 1944, in Belington, WV., a son to the late Frank Davis, and Hattie (Riffle) Davis.
On August 12, 1972, he was united in marriage to the love of his life the former Carol Ketchum who preceded him death on January 26, 2018.
Surviving is a son: Justin and his wife, Jenny of Belington, two grandsons: Clayton Davis and fianc Ivy James, and Conner Davis of Belington, his brothers: Don Davis of Springfield, Oh., Paul and Jerry Davis, both of Belington. Several nieces and nephews.
Butch was preceded in death by his brother: Buck Davis and two sisters: Gert Snyder and Freda Feangean.
Mr. Davis loved to spend time with his family. He attended the schools of Barbour County. Butch retired from Lee Wood Products of Belington. His favorite hobbies were playing music, hunting, and fishing. He played in several bands around the county, such as Bob and the Porter Jays, Tommy and Nashville North, John Daugherty Band, and for Richard Snyder Band. He is going to be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 6 pm until 8 pm., again on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 4 pm until 8 pm., and again on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 8 am until 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am in the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Bryan Headley officiating and interment will follow in the Davis Family Cemetery, near Belington. The Kittle Family Funeral Home, 265 Beech Ave., Philippi, is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.kittlefamilyfh.com.
