Mary Elizabeth Woodruff, lover of Jesus, wife, mother, sister, teacher, and friend moved from this world to the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 after a lengthy illness. Mary was born on September 28, 1941 in Bonham, Texas. She married Pete Woodruff in 1961, was mother to Jeff Woodruff and Jenny Woodruff Holmans, and spent her life taking care of family and teaching the students that she dearly loved. Scripture was life-giving to Mary. Several verses could be seen throughout her home and she loved anything that made her think of her blessings. Cardinals also made her very happy and they became her official symbol.
Mary is survived by her son, Jeff (Diane) Woodruff, and daughter Jenny Holmans; brother Mike (Patty) Kincaid; sister Margaret (James) Melton; grandchildren Kyle (Rachel) Woodruff; Emily Douglas; Wes (Sarah) McElroy; Briana McElroy; Drew Holmans; Whitney Holmans; Alie Holmans; Zachary (Rachel) Holmans; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Service is Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2pm at the Methodist Church in Trenton, TX.
