New Iberia – A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Myrl Davis Thomason, 64, of Coteau, who passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
Entombment will follow in the Nativity of Our Lady Cemetery.
Deacon Josh LeBlanc will officiate.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home, and will continue Monday, from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
Myrl, also known as “Big Mo”, was born on January 17, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, and has been a resident of Louisiana for over 20 years. A one-of-a-kind man, he dedicated his whole life to his girlfriend and family. You were always greeted or departed with “I Love You.” His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life.
Myrl was a joking man, who you rarely saw upset. He had a passion for hunting, his Play Station 4, remote cars and planes. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys and LSU Fan, Myrl was a huge Trump Supporter and loved watching Fox News. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Survivors include his partner, the love of his life for 23 years, Marian Stevens; sons, Cody Thomason, Johnathan Cote’, Jeramy Stevens, and Kamryn Stevens; daughters, Amber Thomason, Kimberly Ray (Wacey), Christina Bob (Byron), Holly Stevens, and Desiree Stevens (Jarvis); birthmother, Brenda Thomason King; brothers, Edward King (April), Brian King, and Danny King (Sherry); sister, Carol Thomason Jennings; 18 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, John and Faye Thomason; stepfather, John Ed King; brother, Wayne King; and sister, Vickey King.
Pallbearers will be Cody Thomason, Kamryn Stevens, Byron Bob, Hayden Benoit, Edward King, Connor Dunn, Jeramy Stevens, and Johnathan Cote’.
