Mrs. Rebecca Millwood “Becky” Sanders, age 85, of 148 Bailey Rd., Buffalo, widow of Hugh Sanders, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at NHC-Clinton.
Mrs. Sanders was born November 30, 1940, in Buffalo, a daughter of the late James Lolan “Chub” Millwood and Mary West “Mickey” Millwood. She was a graduate of Union High School and Cecil’s Business College. Mrs. Sanders retired from Milliken & Co. – Gillespie Plant where she was plant Secretary and Industrial Engineering Clerk. She was a faithful member of Buffalo Methodist Church where she was a member of the Choir, Handbells Choir, Pianist, the Curtis Sanders Sunday School Class, and was Past President of the Pat Flood Circle. Mrs. Sanders was also a member of the Good News Singers.
Surviving are two sons, Tracy Sanders and wife Lori and Russ Sanders and wife Rhonda all of Buffalo; three grandchildren, Courtney Lancaster and husband Tyler, Codey Sanders and wife Kelsey, and Lee Sanders all of Buffalo; and four great-grandchildren, Eva, Ellie, and Hank Lancaster, and Larson Sanders.
Celebration of life services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, March 2, 2026, at Buffalo Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Jeff Farmer and Rev. Kevin Dalton. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Mike Sanders, Mark Sanders, Maxie Sanders, Keith Wright, Roger Bishop, and Ted Crane. The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, Cathy Bishop, Betty Joe Simmons, Delores Wade, Judy Sherfield, Jimmy and Stella Maness, Tim and Debbie Mitchell, Amber Jennings and the Pat Flood Circle.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and staff of NHC—Clinton, Union Post Acute Assisted Living, and Gentiva Hospice for their love and care of Mrs. Sanders.
