New Iberia, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Rosa Bell Charles, 87, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Saint Edward Roman Catholic Church (175 Ambassador W. Lemelle Drive) with Fr. John Okebule, Celebrant officiating.
She will await the resurrection at Rose Hill Cemetery (944 W. Main Street) in New Iberia, LA.
Visitation hours will be observed at Saint Edward Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 1, 2025, beginning at 8:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M. followed by tributes and expressions.
Rosa Bell Charles was a resident of New Iberia, LA. She transitioned at 4:25 P.M. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, LA.
She was a faithful Christian and member of Saint Edward Roman Catholic Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five sons: Eugene Zeaunc III, Glenn Zeaunc, David Zeaunc, Al Francis, Sr. (Serena), and Alfred Francis, Sr. (Carolyn); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harry Francis, Sr. and Josephine Armstrong; one daughter: Diane Z. Decuir; two brothers: Harry Francis, Jr. and Harold Francis; four sisters: Vida Eaglin, Joyce Euglon, Laura Lee Francis, and Mary Francis.
Active Pallbearers are Alfred Francis, Jr., Alfred Francis III, Joshua Williams, Sr., Jeremiah Francis, Claude Matthews, and Demasico Celestine.
Honorary Pallbearers are Alfred Francis, Sr., Al Francis, Sr., David Zeaunc, Glenn Zeaunc, Eugene Zeaunc, and Michael Jones.
