Sue Jane Walls (Magness), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, at the age of 81. Sue was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on July 18, 1943, to the late Freda Mae Watkins and JR Magness. She was raised by her Grandmother Nan Lewis. Sue married the love of her life, Doyle Walls on September 29, 1961, in Denver City, Texas. Together they built a beautiful family, blessed with 3 sons and one daughter. Sue taught Head Start for several years. After retiring she enjoyed scrapbooking, volunteering in the church, and reading. Sue's greatest joy was spending time with her family, supporting her children and grandchildren in everything they did, attending every game, recital, and milestone with unwavering pride and love. She was known far and wide for infamous banana pudding, Sue was celebrated as the best cook by all who were privileged to taste her food. Sue's deep love for God was evident in everything she did. A pillar of her church community, she served as a spiritual mother to many. Her faith and compassion guided countless individuals, offering support and guidance with her gentle wisdom and open heart. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and welcome, always open to anyone in need of a meal, a kind word, or a comforting embrace. Sue was truly one of the best people you could ever meet, embodying kindness, generosity, and an unyielding love for those around her. Her legacy of love and warmth will be carried on by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Sue will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will live on in the cherished traditions she started and the countless lives she enriched. She is proceeded in death by one, grandson Brian Jay Walls; brother, Rick Magness; her grandmother Nan Lewis.
Her survivors include her husband, Doyle Walls of the home; son, Jerry Don Walls and Wife, Patty of Nixa Missouri; son, Gary Ray Walls of Wilburton Oklahoma; son, Johnny Lee Walls and Wife, Mikka of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter, Brenda Sue Walls and Husband, David of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 15 Grandchildren; 24 Great- grandchildren; 1 Great-great grandchild; two brothers, Johnny and Brock Magness, both of Phoenix Arizona; A host of loving Nieces, Nephews along with many friends blessed by her loving church family.
A visitation will from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at West Siloam First Assembly of God located at 5524 Cedar Drive Colcord, Oklahoma 74338. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at West Siloam First Assembly of God with a committal service to follow at Oak Hill cemetery, located at 2122 West University Street Siloam Springs, Arkansas 72761.
