It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Susie Lynch Osborne, who left us on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, at the age of 85. A beloved resident of
Olanta, South Carolina, Susie was surrounded by her loving family who cherished her warmth and wisdom.
Born on August 17th, 1940, to Duffie M. Lynch and Gertie Yarborough Lynch, Susie was a proud graduate of J.C. Lynch High School. Her journey was marked by a profound commitment to her faith, community, and family. She was a dedicated member of Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church in Turbeville, where she actively participated in the Maranatha Women's Ministry and devoted many years to teaching Sunday school. Her nurturing spirit also extended beyond her family, as she found great joy in being a compassionate caregiver to many.
Susie's professional life was spent in the garment manufacturing industry, where she retired as a respected seamstress. Her skills were not only limited to her profession but were a testament to her meticulous nature and artistic eye.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Osborne; her parents; her brothers, James Covington "Tom" Lynch and Duffie J. "D.J." Lynch; and her sister, Catherine L. Floyd.
Her legacy continues through her son, Wayne Osborne of Olanta, and her daughter, Barbara O. Coker (Larue) of Olanta. Susie was a beloved grandmother to four grandchildren: Travis Osborne, Jarod Green, Jessica Floyd (Zach), and Jennifer Coker, and a proud great-grandmother to Libbie Reynolds, Logan Reynolds, Lorri Reynolds, Kadie Floyd, Devin Coker, Destinee Duncan, and Delayna Duncan; she was also great-great-grandmother to Dutton Coker. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Donnell Osborne and Sue Osborne; and her brother-in-law, Ronald (Claudia) Osborne.
The family will receive friends during a visitation at Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church in Turbeville, South Carolina, on Thursday, February 26th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Following the visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Susie's life will be held at the church at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in a graveside service at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in
Olanta, SC, following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Coker, Brandon Floyd, MD Floyd, Charles Lynch, Brian Osborne, Terry Dennis, Ray Welch, Joe Roberson.
