Tina Marie Span, 67, of Chappell, Nebraska, passed away February 12, 2026, at UC Health Longs Peak Hospital in Longmont, Colorado.
Tina was born on August 30, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to George Salmon and Jackie (Kennedy) VanDyke. She attended school in Nevada and Missouri and received her GED in 1991. She attended Western Nebraska Community College and earned her CNA certification in 1994.
Tina married Tom Span on December 16, 1988, in Julesburg, Colorado. After Tom returned from the service, the family lived in Julesburg for a couple of years before moving to Chappell, Nebraska, in 1989, where they raised their family.
Tina worked as a CNA, bookkeeper, and caregiver to their son, Brandon.
She collected the character Stitch and crystals. Tina enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a musical soul; it was a part of her inner nature.
Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and daughter Tabitha.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Span; her children, Victoria, Nichole, Jamie, and Brandon; her grandchildren, Mirsades, Myriah, Diego, I'ven, Starr, Tabitha, and Jackie, Isaiah, and Zeth; and eight great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Siblings Chuck Anderson, Glenda (Ron) Shellhorn, Gena Iles, Gary (Jacque) Nail, and Larry (Jessica) Nail, and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:30 am, at Well of Hope Church in Julesburg with Pastor Larry Nail officiating. Reception to follow the service at Burgie's in Chappell, NE.
