Tonya Butler Obituary

Tonya Butler passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by the people she loved most.

She was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Sandra Lynn Mabrey and Earl Wayne Butler. Both of her parents preceded her in death. As well as her step dad Bob Hamilton.

Tonya's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her former husband, Kevin Kilpatrick of Westville, Oklahoma; her four children: Kody Kilpatrick and wife Shayla Kilpatrick of West Siloam, Oklahoma; Kasey Kilpatrick and wife Karla Kilpatrick of El Paso, Texas; Katelydn Kilpatrick of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and Koalton Kilpatrick of Muskogee, Oklahoma.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Logan, Lincoln, and Parker Kilpatrick, who brought tremendous happiness to her life.

Tonya is also survived by her siblings, Wynema Butler and Shannon Butler; her step-sibling, Bobby Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her step-sister, Kim Hamilton.

Tonya was first and foremost a mother. Her four beautiful children were her entire world, and she wore that title with pride. She loved big, protected fiercely, and showed up for her family in every season of life. Becoming a grandmother only added to her joy - her grandbabies were treasures to her.

She had a special way of making people feel seen and cared for. Whether through quiet strength, laughter, or simply her presence, she left an imprint that will never fade.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing she was surrounded by love in her final moments.
