It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Won Chul Lee. Born on June 17, 1945, in Korea, Won Chul passed away after a courageous battle with colon cancer on Sunday, December 29th, 2024.
Won Chul was a devoted husband to Jung Hee Lee for an incredible 50 years, and a loving father to David Lee and Kathy Lee Kagan. He was also dearly loved by his son-in-law, Jeremy, his daughter-in-law, Dong Jin, and his beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Rose, and Alexis.
With a background in architecture and engineering, Won Chul initially pursued his studies and career in Korea. In 1977, he made the significant move to the United States, where he began a new chapter by working and eventually owning his deli/café. His love for music, art, gardening, and traveling brought joy to his life, and he particularly enjoyed taking his family on memorable camping trips, especially when his children were younger. Won Chul also enjoyed sharing his love for Korean culture and traditions with his family and friends.
Won Chul's presence in our lives was a tremendous blessing, and he will be deeply missed. However, his memory will continue to live on through the love and joy he shared with his family and friends. His legacy will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
