Janis Brunell Obituary

Janis Marie Brunell, (nee Barros) of Foxboro, died peacefully following a long bout with scleroderma. She was the daughter of the late John and Alice Barros (nee McCarthy) of Foxboro, and sister to Sharon Barros of Southern California. She was a 1964 graduate of Foxboro High School and a 1968 graduate of Regis College. Janis married Thomas Brunell, also of Foxboro, a union of 56 years. She was the mother of Kristopher Brunell (pre-deceased). Pridefully, she watched his building rise, then he was gone.

Janis worked for the University of Vermont operating an early computer that required its own building. She was also a teacher's aide and librarian for both Trinity College and St. Michaels. At the University of Virginia, Janis was a classification and pay analyst. In Florida, she was the Director of the Department of Human Resources for Palm Beach County. Janis loved to read and travel, often finding it difficult to locate books she hadn't already read. She had visited most of Europe several times.

Those of us who knew her, loved her. Those of us who loved her, will miss her very deeply.
