Allen Delmer Ramsey, a beloved resident of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 83. Born in Pataskala, where he spent his entire life in the area of Jersey, he made a lasting impact on his community through his kindness, dedication, and unwavering spirit.
Allen was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred, and brother, David, and is survived by his spouse Kathy Chase, his children, Michael (Mary Alice) Ramsey, Leah (Stephen) Wagner, Kelley (Sean) Daley, Brittany (Mike) Hoyle, and seven grandchildren. Allen is also survived by his brother Robert Ramsey, and numerous cousins, nieces, close friends, and animals who will miss him dearly.
A proud veteran, Allen served in the U.S. Army during Korea with distinction, carrying the values of duty and service throughout his life. After returning to Pataskala, he worked as a skilled mechanic and ran a successful towing and repair business well-known across Licking County.
His passion was antique cars and tractors, displaying his best work at many fairs and shows.
Allen’s legacy is one of selflessness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. His generosity and the positive impact he had on others will be remembered with gratitude and admiration.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Allen’s life at a memorial service to be held at Emswiler Farm, 13167 Morse Road (use pond entrance), on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the memorial to help rebuild.
