Dale E. Lacher
Age 92, of Minerva, passed away, Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Alliance to Herman and Hazel (Loomis) Lacher. He graduated from Alliance High School. Dale was a machinist for 60 years at Alliance Machine. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Minerva and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved spending time riding his four-wheeler and taking care of his animals. He enjoyed going to auctions and watching sports on TV. He was always a hard worker and loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great granddaughter were the apple of his eye. Everyone knew him as Papa.
Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Finley) Lacher who died in 1991, sister, Dorothy Woods of Alliance, 2 brothers, Lester and Norman Lacher. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Greg) Rinard of Medina, son, Steve (Eve) Lacher of Alliance, 4 grandchildren, Abbigail (Tyler) Goodnack, Hunter (Marissa) Rinard, Allison Lacher, Benjamin Lacher and a great granddaughter, Paislee Goodnack.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Pastor Angel Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Memorial Gardens in Alliance. I worked at Wally Armours with Dale some years ago and found him to be a great guy. I spent alot of time with him in a car and he had some great stories to tell. What an interesting man he was! My wife also had Allison as a student in kdg. and we both send our deepest sympathy. Jeff and Paula Baker
