EASLEY, SC - Arlene C. Bishop 88 of Easley SC went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 6, 2023.
She was a daughter of the late Garland and Margaret Carter of Kingsport, TN.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest E Bishop of 56 years.
In addition, she was predeceased by son, Terry Bishop, infant twin grandsons Peyton and Daniel Bishop, sister Phyllis Lane and brother Ronnie Carter.
Survived by sons, Leonard (Kim) and Tim (Tami) Bishop both of Easley, SC. Two grandsons, Paul Bishop and family of Easley, SC, Cody Bishop and family of Greenville, SC. Along with five other grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Joy Baker of Kingsport, Tn. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Through the years she taught Sunday school and children's church and was a member of the choir. She dearly loved Pastor Ron and his family and her church family. She was a wonderful devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was a healthcare giver for many years. Having such a big loving heart, she opened her home up and took care of her special needs brother for many years.
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd. Kingsport, TN with Pastor Ron Ellison officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 12 Piney Rd. Greenville, SC. 29611.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC for the wonderful care and the compassion that was shown to our mother and our family. They were truly amazing.
