SUGAR LAND, TX - Benjamin Franklin Hobbs, 87, died January 7, 2022, in Sugar Land, TX. He served in the US Army 1954 to 1956. He married Marieta Helen Davis on December 22, 1958; they lived in Kingsport from 1992 to 1999. Ben was preceded in death by children Karen Cassner and Joe Hobbs. Ben is survived by his wife Marieta (recently deceased), daughters Sharon Peterson and Jane Hobbs of TX, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held for Ben and Marieta at Mountain Home VA Cemetery in Johnson City, TN, on July 24, 2024, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
