CHURCH HILL - Betty Jo Rutledge, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at NHC Health Care, in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Betty Jo lived her entire life in Hawkins County. She was a member of Elm Springs Community Church.

Betty Jo is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Everett H. Rutledge; her parents, George and Ava Mauk; sister, Beulah Minor; brothers, George Albert, J. L., Charles, Holly, Calvin and Ron Mauk.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa "Terry" and husband, Ed; son, Scott Rutledge, and wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Maria Offield and Mathew Rutledge and wife Leah; great grandchildren, Noah Miracle and Maverick Rutledge; several nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the outstanding and caring staff at NHC HealthCare of Kingsport for the care given to Betty Jo.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Elm Springs Community Church Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 AM.

In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to Elm Springs Community Church Cemetery fund, PO Box 177, Church Hill, TN 37642
