Bill Allen July 26, 2024

KINGSPORT - Bill Allen, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at his home. Born in Kingsport, he has lived in this area all of his life. He worked for 20 years at Tennessee Eastman. He then went on to own and operate Timber Steel Construction. Bill was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. He lived out his faith by ministering in the Sullivan County jail and in music at local nursing homes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Opal Allen; two sisters; one brother; two beloved grandsons, Zach Oden and Clayton Carver.

Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Loretta Allen; daughter, Andrea Allen; sister, Doris Sandidge and husband, Bill; one niece; four nephews; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Blountville. There will be no formal service, however a eulogy will be given by his friend, Bob Luckadoo at the conclusion of receiving of friends. He will be entombed in the Mausoleum of Faith.
