KINGSPORT - Billy Jack Campbell, 84, of Kingsport, TN, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on June 23, 2023.
Jack was a successful, well-respected, businessman and President of Southeastern Color Graphics. He is a veteran and achieved the rank of Sergeant in the Air Force Reserve. Jack also excelled at every sport he played, especially fishing, golf, and basketball. He received a college basketball scholarship from Lees-McRae College. Jack was also a devout member of Sunnyside Baptist Church, where he managed their Food Pantry and taught Sunday school. Beyond his professional and athletic achievements, Jack is best known for his kind and generous nature.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Rev Jack and Laura Campbell and his siblings Roy Campbell, Virginia Carter, Phyllis Elam, and Ruth Campbell. He is survived by his wife Freeta Campbell, his children Billy Jack Campbell, Joseph Campbell (Jacqueline), Jennifer Koella (Addison), his siblings Jolene Hilton, Connie (Leland) Lenard, and Roma Gibbons, and his grandchildren Natalie Newell (Evan), Olivia Campbell, Campbell Koella, Stephen Koella, and Kelsey Campbell.
A memorial service will be given at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sunnyside Baptist Church for use for their food pantry, Sunnyside Baptists Church, 406 Cooks Valley Road, Kingsport, TN 37664.
