Bobby Gene Hood July 10, 2024
Bobby Gene Hood went to be with his Lord on July 10, 2024, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Claude and Sarah Hood, brothers Morgan and Don Hood and his Uncle and Aunt Bill and Myrtle McCrary who raised him.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Carolyn Mitchell, Allison Hood Jarrell (Robbie) and Holly Hood Black (Doug) and his son Joshua Hood (Jennifer). Grandchildren Courtnay and Adam Campbell, Jessica and Jordan Jarrell, Sawyer and Gibson Black, and Emmett, Henry, and Clementine Hood. Great Grandchildren Caleb, Kylie, and Carson Bradburn. Sisters, Helen Mitchell, and Mary Gardner, along with several nieces and nephews.
Bobby worked at Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport, where he retired. He also owned his own autobody shop in Fall Branch, American Autobody for several years.
Bobby had a passion for working on cars, especially old Broncos. He was a mentor to many sharing his knowledge and expertise with others over the years. He was an avid baseball fan and always rooted for his favorite team the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was a friend to so many and enjoyed getting together with his Fall Branch group for cookouts at his cabin.
Please join us celebrating his life at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Fall Branch on Sunday July 14th. The receiving of friends and family will be from 11am-1pm. The funeral service will be held at 1pm with the graveside service immediately following at the Methodist Church of Fall Branch.
