NICKELSVILLE, VA - Brenda Ruth Minton, age 79 of Nickelsville, VA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Brenda was born on December 16, 1944, in Scott County, VA to Carson and Nell Frazier. On July 3, 1964, Brenda married the love of her life, Mr. Anson Minton, and after 60 years of a beautiful life together and raising a family, he survives.

Brenda loved her grandchildren. Her family was her heavenly treasure here on earth. Brenda was an exceptional cook, and her sense of humor could make the hardest of hearts break out into laughter. Brenda's loving and funny personality will be missed by all those who know her. The fun and laughter that she brought into people's lives will continue on for generations to come.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Larry Frazier. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Anson Minton; two daughters, Suzanne Williams and husband Todd, and Sherry Lark and husband Chris; son, Steve Minton and wife Shari; grandchildren, Austin Williams, Connor Minton and wife Kirsten, and Madison Duntch and husband Tyler; sister, Carletta Flanary; brother, Dr. John R. Frazier and wife Patti; sister-in-law, Ann Frazier; and many loving nieces, nephews, and family members.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Steve Collins officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Minton Family Cemetery in Nickelsville, VA. Ronnie Flanary, Bobby Flanary, Michael Frazier, Todd Williams, Chris Lark, Austin Williams, and Connor Minton will be serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am. The cemetery is located at 8351 Nickelsville Hwy.

Carter Trent / Scott County Funeral Home Weber City is serving the Minton family.
