Calvin Christian Obituary

KINGSPORT - Calvin "Buster" C. Christian, age 98, of Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2024. Calvin served in the U.S. Army overseas and later retired from Mason Dixon Trucking Lines after many years of dedicated service.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hattie Christian: son, Rickey A. Christian; brothers, J.D. Christian, Bill Christian, and Johnny Christian; sisters, Pauline Tester and Mary Ruth Bates; and daughter-in-law Anita Christian.

Surviving Calvin include wife, Nannie Kate Christian; son, Wayne Christian (Sandy); granddaughters, Casey Parker (Keith) and Keeton Christian (David); great granddaughters, Bernie Ritchie and Hadley Quillin; step-great granddaughter, Addison Parker; brother: Larry Christian (Shirley); brothers-in law, Junior Roller, Fred Roller, and Roy Roller.

The Christian family will gather to celebrate Calvin's life on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 1-2 PM in the Chapel of East Lawn Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM. A Military Graveside service will follow afterwards at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family of Calvin.
