KINGSPORT - Carol Kilgore, 74, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
She was born July 27, 1948, in Blountville, TN to the late Stewart Miller and Pauline Smelser Miller.
Carol was a very loving, patient and kind "woman of God." She never spoke an unkind word about anyone.
She was currently a member of Central Assembly of God Church. Throughout her life she served as song leader, Sunday school teacher and youth leader, among other ministries.
Carol had worked for several years in the health and beauty industry, and she was also the manager of Lo-Mart.
She enjoyed cooking, singing, crafts, wreaths, floral arrangements, traveling to Gatlinburg and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Miller, Carl Miller, Johnny Miller, and Bobby Miller; and sister, Martha Glover.
Those left to cherish Carol's memory her husband, Steve Kilgore; daughters, Elisa Robyn Kilgore, Michelle Haynes (Kevin), and Sara Bryant (Billy); grandchildren, Kaylon, Joshua and Tarius Haynes, Noah and Kayle Myrick, Landon Raff, and Lucy Bryant; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Liam, Jaxson, Kainon and Aria Haynes, and Greyson, Oliver and Everett Myrick; sister, Evelyn Miller-Riley; brothers, Jimmy Miller, Guy Miller, and Ronnie Miller; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Central Assembly of God Church, 1801 McGee St., Kingsport, TN 37660 with Rev. Phil Kestner, Charles Bogle and Ken Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
