DUNGANNON, VA - Carol Sue "Poo Doo" Lucas, 78, Dungannon, VA passed away, Friday, September 26, 2025, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born in Scott County, VA on July 9, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Grover and Edna (Dooley) Lucas.

Poo Doo was a lifetime, and well-known member of the Dungannon Community. She was an independent, hardworking woman, with a love of nature, Tennessee football, and most notably, children.

She was a lifetime member of Dungannon Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, her brother, Kenneth (Kenny) Lucas, and her sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and Watson Drinkwater preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory is her nephew, Richard Drinkwater, Phoenix, AZ, , precious cousins, Judy Blevins, and husband, Ray, Melissa Hunt, and husband, Jeff, Ronnie Dorton, and wife, Diane, and Tracey Trivett, special longtime friend, Lynn Hawkins, also special friends, Linda and Adam Harvey, along with the best neighbors ever, and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Dungannon Freewill Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Walter Taylor and Rev. Larry Beavers officiating. Music will be provided by The Meade Family and Diane Dorton.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2025, at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens, Castlewood, VA.

Travis Dorton, Nathan Dorton, John-Luke Dorton, Tracey Trivett, Bentley Trivett, Jeff Hunt, and Michael Sluss will serve as pallbearers. Ray Blevins and Clifford Gillenwater will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends are asked to meet at Temple Hill Memorial Gardens at 12:45 p.m., for the graveside service.
