Carolyn B. (Kirchner) Caswell of Arcadia, FL, went to meet her heavenly Father on Dec. 10, 2025. She was 89.
Carolyn was born in Bluffton, Indiana, to Gaynell Martin & Irvin Kirchner, both deceased. She grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her family moved to southern Michigan after she graduated high school. There she met her husband, Paul. They moved to Florida in 1991. When he died in 2004, they had been married 48 years.
Carolyn was very active in church. She was a Sunday School, Child Evangelism, Bible Club, & Vacation Bible school teacher, as well as a youth group leader. In 2008, at the age of 71, Carolyn received a Doctorate of Divinity degree from Tabernacle Bible College & Seminary in Tampa, FL.
Carolyn also loved doing arts & crafts including sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, quilting, painting pictures, & even went to clown school with her daughter Jill. She taught her children & grandchildren many of the arts & crafts as well as giving classes to other people in her home.
Not only was Carolyn preceded in death by her husband Paul, but also by her daughter Jill & husband Thomas Smith, her son-in-law William Jolin, and her sister Barbara & husband Clarence Wilhite.
She is survived by her daughters Cindy Jolin of Florida & Phyliss (Neil, Jr.) Wilson of Michigan; her grandchildren Kandi (Dan) Caudill, Dr. Kristi (Joseph) Harrin, Brandi Jenkins, Erika (Scott) Wyatt, Charity (Dan) Pearsall, Neil Wilson, III; her great-grandchildren Colton, Emily, & Kathryn Harrin, Paul Jenkins, Emily Wyatt, Rebekah & Andrew Pearsall; her sister Elaine (Vincent) Savona of Virginia; & several nieces & nephews.
Carolyn will be buried next to her husband at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A memorial service will be held at Arcadia Church of God, 1423 NE Oak St., Arcadia, FL 34266 on Saturday, December 27th at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the Arcadia Church of God where Carolyn attended (address above), Love A Child https://loveachild.com/, the Cancer Society of America https://www.cancer.org/, or the American Foundation for the Blind https://www.afb.org/.
