KINGSPORT - Carolyn Judith Davis, 80, of Kingsport, TN, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Hiltons, VA, to the late Earl and Willie (Sayler) Hickam. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Will and Essie Saylers, and Luther and Nancy Hickam; and her in-laws, Robert and Margaret Davis.

Carolyn was a graduate of Gate City High School and ETSU. She taught English at Sullivan North High School. Carolyn was an active member of Emory United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of UMW. She loved to travel, especially to visit her sister, Wilma and her husband, Al Kinzer. Carolyn was loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 59 years, Bobby; her son, Robby and his wife, Nancy; her granddaughter, Sophia, who was loved very much by Carolyn; her sister, Wilma and her husband, Al; nephews, Derek Kinzer and his wife, Carol, and Allen Kinzer and his wife, Brenda; her sister-in-law, Susan Looney and her daughter, Amanda; as well as many special friends.

Per Carolyn's wishes, a private service with family and friends will be held at a later date.
