APPALACHIA, VA - Cedric "Jack" Lewis, 88, of Appalachia VA, passed away at Norton Community Hospital, on Friday, October 13, 2023. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pennington Gap VA, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany, and a graduate of Berea College and the University of Virginia. He was a teacher for many years, beginning at Powell Valley High School and retiring from J.I. Burton High School in 1991.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Tim Robinson officiating.
