Charles Scott Castle May 17, 2024
KINGSPORT - Charles Scott Castle, age 59, passed away at home in Kingsport, TN on May 17, 2024, after a long illness. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Chestnut Grove Church. He spent his life working to help others as an EMT Fireman at Holston Defense, as a volunteer and EMT with Hawkins County Rescue Squad and with the Hawkins County Sheriff Department where he served as Director of the 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force. He retired after 29 years of loyal service. He loved his work and fellow workers.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Simon and Nishie Castle; his maternal grandparents, Harve and Nellie Lawson; brother, Denny Castle.
He is survived by his daughter, Katie Castle of Kingsport, TN; parents, Paul and Faye Castle; sister, Paulette Castle of Kingsport, TN; brother, Greg Castle and wife Misty of Talbott, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 21 from 5-7pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 7pm with Rev. Sam Trent officiating. Graveside Service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, May 22 at Castle Family Cemetery located on Castle Road. If you wish to follow in procession, please meet at the funeral home by 11:45am or you may meet us at the cemetery by 12:45pm. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be his faithful brothers in blue; Russ Arey, Tim Ward, Thomas McCauley, David Stick Benton, Jeff Hilton, Scott Stewart, and Steve Spano.
